VINCE & MINDI are a western duo from Firth, Idaho, featuring: MINDI REID PALMER vocals, yodels, and bass guitar. VINCENT CROFTS playing guitar, mandolin, or fiddle, and vocals.
Vince and Mindi began performing together in 2005 to appreciative audiences that immediately began requesting a CD. Their first CD LONGING FOR THE RANGE, was completed in 2007 and received a glowing review in the fall 2008 issue of "The Western Way" magazine. At the end of his praise for the project, reviewer Rick Huff said; "I'll be as direct as it (the CD) is. For the type, this is just about the best I've ever heard.
Vince & Mindi have performed at:
- National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV.
- Western Music Association Festival in Albuquerque, NM where they received the Harmony Duo Award of the year.
- Governors Arts Award Program for the State of Idaho.
- Twice on the popular Idaho Pubic Television program Outdoor Idaho
Western and Cowboy music is their home base but they draw on a wide variety of musical influences including; Swing, Old-time, Bluegrass, Old Country, and just about anything that catches their ear.
A Vince & Mindi show is characterized by a down home connection with the audience, maybe a funny story or a joke or two interwoven with a great musical variety of duets, classic cowboy songs, unique arrangements of rare songs, and fun instrumentals. The change-up between guitar, mandolin, or fiddle, with Mindi's great bass playing makes for some exciting variety that will keep you entertained.
